Updating with an Info Dump

So, this is just gonna be a bit of info dumping of the things that have happened over the past couple of weeks:

I've been running with my little brother in the evenings which has been tough for me to wake up at the time I want to, but this week, we're planning on starting running in the morning. Unfortunately,  my lil bro got sick, so he's taking a few days to rest. I hope he feels better soon. I could run by myself, but I haven't,  so I'll just wait a little longer xd

Just last week on Friday and Saturday, my work had a huge book sale where we put out large boxes of rejected books to sell to the public at $1 per item (and on Saturday $15 per bag - bags were provided) it was very cool, and since I worked there, I got a bag for free, I got so many cool books and movies, but then I didn't have anyway to play the movies, and so during a visit to Walmart, I looked at their dvd players, and found one that was only $25, and I thought, that'll work. I didn't go there expecting to purchase one, but seeing the deal, and checking online to see what prices people were selling used ones for, it was a really great deal, so I got it! I took it home, set it up and watched the first of the Lord of the Rings movies that I had gotten at the book sale with a friend.

Speaking of said friend.... he's actually my boyfriend. It's really cool and I like him a lot, though there have been challenges that I have discovered going into this new relationship. Because of some past trauma, I am actually terrified of physical touch, which has hurt a lot, knowing that I do want to get close to him and he wants to get close to me, but having a terror response nearly every time really dampens the mood 😅

But! Since discovering this new fear, I have now been able to face it. I feel that in due time I will heal and find safety once more in physical closeness. I'm reading the book "The Body Keeps the Score" right now and I find that I relate in so many ways. Learning about the intracacies and also having ways to heal helps me to feel empowered rather than stuck as I once did.

I also got a new mattress. I had been borrowing one from my mom, but recently earned enough money to purchase one for myself. It arrived a few days ago, though I don't have a place to put my mother's mattress yet, so my new mattress is still sitting in it's box until we can get that figured out. My room right now is fairly small, so not a lot of room for storing things. Some of my things are still sitting in my car in boxes... they'll find a place eventually. At the end of June, on of my roommates is moving out and her room is larger than mine right now, so I'll likely be moving into her room and have a bit more space for all my things.

Another thing that I have going on right now is my boyfriend will come over sometimes in the morning and cook breakfast with me. It's lots of fun. This last time he came, we made pancakes, bacon, eggs, and had some fruit: peaches and cantaloupe. I made the pancakes.... I made WAY too many.... I still have two ziplock baggies of pancakes, but I've run out of syrup and have nothing else to eat it with, so I just have a bunch of pancakes that I guess I could eat plain, but that sounds sad and very unappealing. I'll just need to run to the store sometime to get more syrup.

I like to play Pokemon Go (a game of catching and battling pokemon that corresponds with locations in the real world) though when I lived at my parents' house, there was nothing nearby and I'd have to go all the way into town in order to get gyms or pokestops or even to catch wild pokemon. So I barely played. Here at my new place, there's more available closer by, and all I have to do is go on a short walk to play, so I've definitely been doing more of that ^^. It's fun to get out into the sun and fresh air and to catch digital creatures.

Also recently, I was craving chocolate milk, so I got some of the nesquik chocolate milk mix. That's it. 😄 It is a comfort food.

And finally, with my one roommate moving out, I'll need to communicate with the roommate that will still be here about furniture. I have a couch from my parents as well as an electric organ, so I'll want to have those in the living room, but then we'll have to figure something out about a kitchen table. But I still don't have her number, and I bately see her, so I guess I'll have to leave a note with my number or something on the fridge to get in contact with her. I'm sure we can do that.

Anyhow, there's an info dump! We'll see how posting goes from here xd

Seek joy!
