I have 2 things I am setting out to learn. I want to get better at constructing these blog posts, so I'm specifically focusing on how to write better creative nonfiction - I found a Great Courses DVD course on it and start watching and learning from it last week. (It's from 2012, so not super recent, but it still will have lots of good information to help, so why not use all my resources?)
And then, the second thing, I received a book from a "bigger or better" trade while I was up at college a few years ago. The book is called The Fairy Mythology a book by Thomas Keightley, and I traded it for a family sized bag of chips. I was fascinated by the amount of knowledge and history included in this book as it explores different cultures throughout the years and how their stories of fae and fairies reflect that.
I want to dive deeper into it and as I do, I'll share what I learn here on my blog. I want to be able to pull on this information as I create characters and stories as well, so it will become a great resource in my future as an author. At least that's the hope.
Here's to the future!
